Interior Design Online

Affordable interior design services is becoming a growing request. With traditional interior design, hourly service fees add up quickly but there are new methods of execution that designers are making available for the do-it-yourselfer on a budget.

Online Interior Design works by maximizing the designers time by walking the client through the steps to begin and complete the design process, that way, you are paying your designer for what you really hired them to do - design your space.

When you go to the website, you are given instructions for measuring your space, taking pictures and gathering other information needed for the room. Then you fill out a questionnaire that asks questions about style and color preferences, existing furniture and accessories, budget, lifestyle, hobbies and any other information that you can provide so that the designer can create a space to your taste. They also ask that you send in pictures of rooms that you like and where you shop for furniture. All the information can be sent via e-mail or regular mail. Then, in a few weeks, you will receive a design packet and samples needed to execute the design. Questions can be addressed over the phone or e-mail and a visit to the home can be arranged for additional service fee if needed.

If you are wanting great design on a budget or and like being involved in the process, check out my new service at

Outdoor Living article from 417 HOME Magazine

Summer is almost here! Time to pull out that outdoor furniture and fire up the grill! Last summer, I took on a major outdoor living space makeover with my boyfriend, which includes a lounge area with gas fire-pit, dining table and bars with umbrellas, chaise lounges, a hammock and lots of planters filled with flowers and grasses. We went a little overboard, so much that it was featured in 417 Home Magazine. They took great pictures and I added some of my own.
Lake house view from the back, colors are light and beachy

Brad just had to do this pose to show off how much he has been working out. I would like to point out the aqua umbrellas in the background, they coordinate with the chaise lounges. The existing blue tile here is inspiration for the furnishings.

The blue lounge area with pit is great, a long flame comes out of the blue glass pebbles. No logs here!
Dining table for dinner parties and bar tables for party animals.

Chaise lounges are on the kiddy side of the pool so the moms can watch their kiddos. If you want to see more, view the article by clicking here and here.
The living Room inside has a nautical feel - fresh and fun (different from all the dead animal heads on walls at Table Rock Lake here in Missouri)
